A Surprise Proposal at Santa Monica Beach
There are moments in life that take your breath away, and as a photographer, I get to witness and preserve those moments for others. Photography is not just a job for me; it’s my passion, my purpose, and the way I connect with people’s most cherished memories. I live for these experiences, and being able to document a surprise proposal at Santa Monica Beach was an absolute joy.
The energy of this session was pure magic—filled with anticipation, excitement, and raw emotion. The soft ocean breeze, the rhythmic sound of the waves, and the beautiful cloud-filled sky created the perfect atmosphere for a love story unfolding in real time. Every frame I captured reflected the genuine surprise, overwhelming happiness, and deep connection between the couple.
For this shoot, I had the opportunity to use my new Nikon Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, and I instantly fell in love with it. This lens allowed me to capture the spontaneity of the moment with such precision and depth. The versatility of the 24-70mm focal range was a game-changer—I could seamlessly switch between intimate close-ups and wider lifestyle shots without missing a beat. This proposal was all about real emotions, and my new lens made it possible to freeze those fleeting expressions of joy and love in the most natural way.
Seeing the couple’s reactions when they looked at their photos reminded me why I do what I do. It’s not about just taking pictures—it’s about creating lasting memories, preserving emotions, and telling stories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
