Before you share your story..
I'm Dmitrii Raposo‑Oleinik, a passionate photographer based in Los Angeles, with over 12 years of experience behind the camera. I believe in capturing genuine moments while ensuring everyone has a fun, relaxed time during our shoot together.
My experience ranges from all types of photoshoots from weddings, and lifestyle photography, and anything in between. My goal has always been to capture special and memorable moments, one photo at a time.
Capturing Joy: My Journey with Nikon, Travel, and Cherished Moments
I was born in a small town of 40,000 people, where photography wasn’t widely explored. With little information available, my journey was more challenging—but that only fueled my excitement to discover and master the art of capturing moments.
Becoming a photographer was a no-brainer for me. I mean, I've never really seen myself doing anything else. It all started back in school when I was around 14 or 15. Photography just clicked with me, you know?
I graduated high school in Russia in 2012 and pursued my passion for photography in college. From 2013 to 2019, I worked as a full-time photographer, capturing countless families, weddings, couples, and events—turning fleeting moments into lasting memories.
But honestly, I always knew I wanted to make a living behind the lens.
So, I took the plunge and decided to go all in with photography. Never looked back since. I've been lucky enough to capture tons of memories and make people smile through my work. It's like all those good vibes and moments get trapped in the pictures, and I get to carry them with me. It's kinda magical, if you ask me. Seeing life through my camera just makes me happy.
Before I arrived in New York City, USA, I visited several amazing places around the world, including Tokyo, Japan; Boracay and El Nido in the Philippines; Hong Kong, China; Seoul, South Korea; Milan, Italy; Athens and Rhodes in Greece; Lisbon, Portugal; Valencia, Spain; and Belarus. Later on, I also explored the Dominican Republic and Mexico!
My journey as a photographer has been full of unexpected turns and exciting discoveries. In 2020, my life in New York City shifted dramatically when the pandemic hit — a complete shock, but I stayed fearless and focused on what mattered most. Before things became too severe, I traveled across Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and California, and instantly fell in love with the beauty and diversity of these states.
In June 2021, my future husband and I spontaneously decided to move to California, and we’ve been happily building our life in the Golden State ever since. Along the way, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work internationally — most recently in 2026, capturing weddings and portraits in Paris and London.
These experiences have deeply shaped my approach, inspiring me to blend natural light, editorial style, and authentic connection in every photograph.
Every journey, every city, and every wedding continues to teach me something new — and I bring all of that energy and perspective to each couple I have the privilege to photograph.
when you book me, you truly get me.
In a world of large photo companies and rotating associates, I believe in something different: connection and consistency.
Your wedding day is one of the most meaningful days of your life, and it deserves a photographer who truly knows you — not someone randomly assigned a week before.
I photograph every wedding myself.
Every image on this website is my work.
Every couple I feature has spent their day with me, not an associate or a subcontractor.
When you book me, you aren’t just hiring a photographer — you’re trusting a real person who will show up for you, care for your memories, and create photographs that feel like you.
MY PHILOSOPHY
- I create a friendly, trust‑first environment, so your real emotions unfold naturally in front of the lens.
- Photography should feel effortless, capturing your unique connection with beautiful simplicity.
- I aim for photos that last a lifetime—timeless, joyful, and undeniably you.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better. I'm a dog lover, always ready for travel, and deeply value my family. I'm passionate about what I do, and seeing your happy moments brings me joy—that's my mission in this world. I capture the most important moments because I cherish them myself. Thank you for being here with me, trusting me with your memories, and I hope to see you soon in front of my camera!
By the way, I'm a big Nikon fan. I've always used Nikon, and currently, I shoot with a Nikon Z6iii and my favorite 50mm 1.2 lens. Thank you!
