Maya & Mauricio — Elegant Morning Engagement Session at Pasadena City Hall
There’s something timeless about a quiet morning at Pasadena City Hall — especially on a cloudy day when the light turns soft, clean, and cinematic. Maya & Mauricio’s engagement session began at 9 AM, and one of the best parts of starting that early was having the entire space almost completely to ourselves.
Even though I’m definitely not a morning person, sessions like this always remind me why early mornings are worth it, haha.
Maya wore an elegant white dress that matched the architecture perfectly, while Mauricio kept things classic with a tailored suit. Their style felt effortless and timeless against the soft neutral tones, arches, and grand hallways of Pasadena City Hall.
The overcast weather created such beautiful light throughout the session — no harsh sun, no heavy shadows, just a calm atmosphere that made every moment feel natural and romantic. Combined with the empty courtyards and quiet walkways, the entire morning felt peaceful in the best way.
Pasadena City Hall continues to be one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions because it offers such a refined and editorial look while still feeling relaxed and personal. Maya & Mauricio brought such genuine energy to the session, and documenting this season of their lives in such a beautiful setting was an absolute joy.
